Batman Vs. Superm Dawn Of Justice

Decent Essays
After the events of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, the government asked its self a question. What would we do if someone like Superman was not on our side? How would we stop them? The answer? Create a special task force super powered criminals to do the dirty work and blame them for any mishaps along the way,

The plot is simple enough, but the main problem for Suicide Squad is that it strays away from that initial plot with forced editing and rushed pacing.

Direction
Instantly you can see director David Ayer's finger prints all over this film. His dark colors and brooding atmosphere helps sell the members of the Suicide Squad being as being violent criminals and killers. I did see a few instants where DC/WB's influence was forced.

DC on the other hand, is all about the depressing highlights of the protagonist’s life, an example of this would be in the beginning of Batman VS Superman where it shows Batman's parents dying in slow motion and Superman's adopted father dying. Another thing that Marvel does is giving more backstory and insight into the antagonists and villains of their movies. An example of this would be Hela in the new Thor movie because Hela was trapped for a millenia and wants revenge for trapping her. She was imprisoned after her behavior was reinforced by her father, and while she goes about it in a way that most of us wouldn’t her reasons are very human and much easier to relate to. Another area where Marvel and DC usually differ is the nature of their villains.…

Superhero films are quite popular and can be told over and over again from different points of views. By having these films being remade so many times one is able to observe the evolution of the film. Here one takes note of the evolution of Spider-man and The Amazing Spider-man. The time difference between Spider-man and The Amazing Spider-man is not as great a gap as one would think, however the time difference is large enough for technology to advance enough to make a great impact.…

The cinematographer that I have decided to research is Jeff Cronenweth; he is famous for movies such as Gone Girl, Fight Club, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Social Network, and Hitchcock. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and currently resides in California. Jeff Cronenweth is very talented in many ways when it comes to cinematography, his craft and eye for cinematography separates him from the rest. Jeff with many of his movies are one colored, he usually uses green tones and yellow hues to dictate a theme in many of his movies. You can clearly see a pattern when it comes to the movies that Jeff works with.…

We live in a very dangerous world today. We have global threats happening almost every day from various sources, and in various forms. About a decade and a half ago we had an attack we called 9/11, people were terrified after and frantically scrambled to some sense of security. A non-fictional example is from Mark Millar’s Civil War: A Marvel Comics, When a group of amatuer super humans cause an incident where hundreds of people were killed along with a few city blocks destroyed. Another example from historic Salem, Massachusetts when the threat of “Witches” came about people scrambled for security from being hung.…

In Katie Walsh’s review of Batman v Superman, she clearly says how much she disliked the movie due to dull character personalities, lack of plot and a poorly executed final fight scene. She goes onto say how the “characters are as exciting as oatmeal.” (2.3) She explains how the characters lack any depth and how some characters seemed “miscast.” (2.4) Then with so many characters to follow there ends up being very little plot even with the movie being two and a half hours long. Basically the movie tried to do too much at one time.…

In order to save the "dying" city of Gotham from the criminal underworld, poverty, and corruption within the police department, Bruce returns to the root of all his misery as a changed man; the identity of Batman was established to prevent anyone else from experiencing the pain and suffering he had endured as a child while the normal Bruce Wayne returns to his "throne" at Wayne Enterprises in order to gain the funding needed for new technology such as the bat-mobile and upgrading the suit as well as using his influence to support individuals such as Harvey Dent who had gained the title of the "White Knight" due to being able to achieve justice during the day without a mask. Despite his vigilantly approach towards establishing law and order, Batman is able to maintain his sanity by acknowledging a specific honor code that prevents him from using deadly force or resorting to killing criminals such as the Joker despite his ruthless and unpredictable nature to harm others for his own enjoyment. What makes Batman an ideal hero is his heart and courage because he refuses to be thanked or acknowledged for his role in justice. As a result, Bruce Wayne actually tries to distant himself from the caped crusader by essentially hiding in pain site and acting like the cocky "Billionaire Playboy" who…

The first trailer for “Logan,” with Johnny Cash’s “Hurt” serving as the soundtrack, catapulted “Logan” up my list of most anticipated movies of the year. I was already looking forward to it, of course, but that trailer moved up it to my fourth most anticipated movie of the year. That’s a high bar to live up to, and “Logan” cleared it with plenty of room. Set in the near future, this movie, the last X-Men film for both Hugh Jackman as the titular mutant and Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, follows the two as they attempt to hide out near the Mexican border. Their quiet, unassuming life is soon upended, however, with the arrival of Laura (Dafne Keen), a young mutant being pursued by henchman working for a villainous corporation.…

The expectations about Suicide Squad were high as the offbeat movie of anti-heroes, but it turned out to be much below the mark. The anti-heroes failed to terrorize and were more of an eyesore. Morrison brings back focus to the original while giving the reader a very fresh take on that makes Superman more relatable to the reader. Morrison’s death sentence causes Superman to get his affairs in order before he dies which makes every decision he makes direr. As his time comes closer to an end, Superman tries to take on extreme tasks for the greater good of humanity. In addition, Superman’s alter ego, Clark Kent, relates more towards an average reader. The contrast between Superman and Clark Kent is very exaggerated in All Star Superman as Quietly depicts the two figures drastically different in terms of their physical structure and Morrison contrasts their personalities.…

Okay, in that case, I have nothing to add. Again, the Bruce’s money is well invested. However, the intelligence could be the trickiest part. Although, knowing the fact Batman doesn’t possess true superpowers, his advantages are he’s smart, wise and brave and these virtues generally lead him to victory over his foes. All these advantages are the primary reasons Batman is often a leader of the Justice League and I have no doubts at all then he would be able to outsmart Superman in a variety of ways, who pretty often plays on the card his superpower advantages.…
