Rated PG, The Lego Batman Movie is an entertaining family film filled with one-liners and pop culture references. give an example?
It’s one of the few current animated films that doesn’t give everything away in the previews. The voices were cast splendidly, with Will Arnett as Batman and Zack Galifianakis as the Joker, however the films main appeal is definitely the characters dialogue exchange. Fans of Batman will be pleasantly surprised by the multiple references to the superhero’s past personas and development over the years. With appearances by Robyn, Alfred and a myriad of both well-known, long-forgotten villains; the film will delight viewers familiar with the DC comic books characters or live-action films.. The lead artist for the show, Bruce Timm, soon came up with a sketch for this new female henchman, “a silly little sidekick” (3), for the Joker. Sorkin was soon asked to come in, and voice the character she inspired. Harley’s premier episode “Joker’s Favor,” was meant to center around just the Joker and Batman, of course. Dini and Timm had a welcome surprise at how this female villain stole the show; causing her character to be brought back throughout the series. Along with the multiple appearances in Batman animated shows, Harley Quinn received her own comics, video games, and soon to reach the movie theaters as a major role in DC’s Suicide Squad movie.…

he Shawshank Redemption” is one of those movies that I wished I’d seen on the big screen. Thanks to videos, however, all was not lost. Whether intentional or not, this film is about grace and hope, as well as the redemption that can occur even in the most dark and degrading corners of our world. Conceived and produced by the secular film community, this engrossing film stands as one of the most entertaining, thought-provoking dramas of this century.…

Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns is a groundbreaking masterpiece; It singlehandedly revolutionized the public’s perception of the character, Batman, whilst also addressing a large variety of themes throughout the four books making up the comic. One of the most revolutionary factors of The Dark Knight Returns is the way Miller presents the Batman’s resurgence. Miller successfully creates a fresh take on the character of Batman by telling a story, not through panels upon panels of grandiose and outlandish action, fights, and battles, but through a focus on all the small details before and after the action. With this idea present throughout the entire comic, the story of Batman’s return is drawn out with more of a lasting impact; The comic…

In 2010 a major box office hit was Toy Story 3. With its Pixar tile and multiple awards for animation, Toy Story 3 became an American classic. A key factor that makes Pixar films so endearing to movie patrons are its stunning and punctilious animations. Pixar tends to leave conspicuous “Easter Eggs,” or references to past and future movies, to be discovered by audiences. For example, Pizza Planet truck from the original Toy Story is referenced in every Pixar film at least once.…

In many movies, society depicts a hero as a person that saves someone from danger or having supernatural powers. For example: Superman. Superman is considered a hero because he is able to serve his citizens and save others lives. The character of Batman is considered to be one of the world’s classic and modern day superhero. His story has taken on many different forms from comics, to TV series, and to today’s modern cinematography. However, I want to discuss the story of Batman and its famous characters based off of the 2000’s version of the current films. We have all come to know Batman as a vigilante who fights bad people as he conceals his true identity as Gotham’s renowned playboy and millionaire, Bruce Wayne. I want to use the personas of Bruce Wayne, Batman, and the well-known villains of this universe because of how they relate to the many ideas used in psychology.…

Tim Burton’s beautifully haunting production of ‘Edward Scissorhands’ introduces our protagonist, represented by Johnny Depp, and explores the fictional story of this solitary boy with an unfortunate seemingly threatening oddity, being thrust into a world where he is glaringly blatant in the midst of the suburbs. Despite his intimidating exterior, it is almost immediately exposed that Edward is just an innocent, childlike soul, intent on serving others. The purpose of this film was to delve into the threatening manner of suburbia and its dismissive views on originality. Burton shattered cliches and stereotypes of who ‘monsters’ are by introducing the monster in the form of townspeople. As Tim Burton’s individual ordeals are translated into…
