I have always had female physicians and I have been satisfied with the care provided by them throughout the years. Since I began my undergraduate career at Bates College, I have heard many students complain about the lack of quality care at our health center. Combining my past experiences with my and other students’ experiences at the Bates College health center, got me wondering about the intersectionality of gender and the medical field. That is why I want to investigate are there differences in the way that female and male physicians interact with their patients?
