Throughout the years, there have been many athletic men that have played basketball at the professional level. The NBA, also known as the National Basketball Association, is not only the foremost men’s professional basketball league in North America, but is also widely considered to be the top-ranking men’s professional basketball league in the world. One of the most controversial topics in the history of the NBA today is whether Michael Jordan or LeBron James is the best player to ever be a part of the association. LeBron James began his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers. In the summer of 2010, he decided to join the Miami Heat and he continues to do so today. Michael Jordan played for the Chicago Bulls for most of his career. In 1993, he announced that he was retiring from the game of professional basketball; many were in shock. However, in the 1944-1995 regular reason, he returned to play for the Chicago Bulls once again and the crowd wondered if he was still capable of playing like the legend he represented before. According to the New York Times, Jordan announced his retirement in Chicago once again on January 13th of 1988 (D8). On September 25, 2001, Jordan unexpectedly joined the Washington Wizard’s and played with them for two years. After the two years were over, he retired and decided to do something different due to personal problems.
