Basketball is a very physically and mentally demanding sport, which is why michael Jordan once said this about basketball “ I’ve missed over 9000 shots in my career, lost almost 300 games, have been trusted 26 times to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” Because of its continuous action and frequent scoring, basketball is one of the most popular spectator as well as participant sports in the world.Basketball is a game of heartbreaks and thrills and excitements and hope, but that is what makes basketball do exciting.

The girls season and tournament are very similar. The NCAA has been around since 1939 when the Oregon Ducks beat The Ohio State Buckeyes in the first ever national championship game and all the way up to this year 's tournament where The Villanova Wildcats beat The North Carolina University Tar Heels. The men 's game has been dominated by powerhouses Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, and UCLA. The women 's game has been around since 1982 and has been dominated by Uconn, Tennessee, Notre Dame, and Stanford. Some of the best players ever include Jordan, Kareem, Magic, AI, Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Karl Malone, Glenn Robinson, Scott Skiles, Ralph Sampson, Hakeem Olajuwon, and Bill Russell just to name a
