Basketball Stress Research Paper

One stressor I encounter while being at college is being home sick. Even though New York is four hours away. I never have a chance to visit home due to my hectic basketball schedule. I barely have any free time and if there is a day I don’t have practice I have classes. My mom is a nurse, that being said she also has a hectic schedule. But, when she does have a chance she finds a way to visit me for a couple of hours. That helps sometimes, but I also miss my neighborhood and the vibes I get while being home is just awesome. I use basketball to help relieve my stress. Basketball occupies a lot of my time. It helps me feel better or even keeps things off of my mind. My team is basically my second family. They help me when I feel homesick

Heartbreak and hours of crying–that was the aftermath of finding out I didn’t make the travel basketball team in the fifth grade. I started playing recreational basketball for Montville in the third grade; since then, I had dominated the competition as I hit my growth spurt earlier than most of my friends. Not only was I taller than most of the kids I played with, but I was also faster and stronger. Coming into the tryout, I was confident in my abilities and believed that I would make the team. Upon finding out the results of the tryouts, I was devastated and felt cheated because I thought I was better than some of the kids that made the team.…

No one can have too much enthusiasm; the more willing and excited one is to do something, the better they become at doing it. The most enthusiastic people are ones who are in national sports leagues, where they are exposed to the crowds almost every day and have to play at their best level. They must have a certain mindset that makes them seek victory, as it is the ultimate goal and what they are striving for. Less enthusiastic people never complete their goals and are limited to what they can accomplish. More eagerness means more opportunities for one to succeed; it also enforces a positive attitude for others and encourages them as well.…
