This is not something you can learn and rather something you have to develop by playing a lot and understanding the game. You've got to have that mentality that your team can still score and win without you really scoring rather doing other stuff like rebounding and assisting and developing this is very hard and takes a lot of time and days in the gym and watching the game. It can seem confusing at times but that is what makes the game so competitive and hard to play. There's many ways of helping your teammates score like setting screens, drawing the defender, and assisting/rebounding. People who call the game of basketball easy are very naive and have to try themselves in order to know how hard it really is. Even if you are really skilled you need to still learn a lot and put in a lot of time in order to be good and succeed in this difficult game. Lay-ups are the best shot you can get in a game. You need touch, versatility, and be able to use each side of the basket. To be able to reliably make a lay-up you need to be able to finish which needs touch. A good drill for touch would be to be next to the basket and then spin the ball slightly in front of the basket and grab the and lay the ball into the hoop with the correct hand without using the backboard or hitting the rim. There have been many elements that I have learned through the Harlingen High School basketball program, which may be transferred to any situation in life, as the basketball program has allowed me to determine the type of person I am. This was due to the fact that I was placed in many challenging situations, which fatigued me both mentally and physically, to a point which I chose how willing I was to overcome those obstacles. Organized basketball has been a part of my life beginning at age six, and has not left my side since. I have loved the game itself, and the actual competitiveness that is apart of it. Competitiveness is the overall intention for the game of basketball and would not and could not be enjoyed without such an element as it.…

When you are playing against another team you play for 4 quarters, in the NBA they play 12min a quarter. You can shoot 2pointers or 3 pointers.…
