Did you know that basketball is one of the most played sport. Also basketball has the most selection of injuries. This article is all about the most dangerous sport due to how many injuries the sport has.

What is the Most Dangerous Sport

The most dangerous sport due to most injuries in the USA is basketball. Basketball has the most injuries even more than wrestling and football. Basketball is the most dangerous sport because it has a huge amount of injuries for players to have, and in basketball there are a bunch of injuries every season.

Basketball has 2.56 million injuries per year. Also most of the 2.56 million injuries go to the hospital or emergency room. There are about 512,213 basketball injuries that go to the emergency room. About

Most injuries in basketball are cut hands, sprained ankles, broken legs, eye and forehead injuries. Also the large number of injuries in the world is due to basketball.

What Are common Injuries for Basketball

Some of the most common injuries are ankle sprains, jammed fingers, knee injuries, deep thigh bruising, facial cuts and foot fractures. 42% of the injuries were to the ankle/foot, 11% were to the hip and thigh, and 9% were to the knee. Some rare injuries are AC joint injury, neck arm pain, DOMS- delayed onset muscle soreness, and spondylolisthesis. Also some more common injuries are thumb sprain, thigh sprain, cramps, heel spur, shin splits, and poor hip core. Those injuries are not even half of the injuries that basketball players have.

Common Treatments for Injuries

Did you know that there are a lot of treatments for all the basketball injuries and they don’t include going to the hospital or going to the emergency room.
