Basketball Court Game Analysis

Decent Essays
In basketball, there are 5 players on each team on the court. They may all seem like they each have the same goal: scoring the ball. However, it isn't. There are 5 positions on the lineup for each team: point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, and center. Each position has great responsibilities and a huge part in scoring opportunities and points. For example, when a player drives to the basket, he needs help from other players, in order to score points. If there weren't these positions, the team would get unorganized, would quarrel, and create less scoring opportunities, points, and good defensive strategies.

Most kids want to grow up and be in the NBA/WNBA, but they can’t be those things if they aren’t taught the fundamental basics of the game. First, they must learn what all the positions are and what their roles. The shooting guard is typically the best shooter on the team, the shooting guard stays on the outside for open shots, but can also be the first option for the point guard to pass to if he/she needs help. The small forward is smaller than a power forward, more agile and has a better jump shot.…
