SPC Maloy achieved the XVIII Airborne Corps Noncommissioned Officer Basic Leader Course graduation requirements with an overall 87.65 grade point average. He achieved the standard by receiving a 211 on the APFT. He displayed exceptional skills during his Physical readiness training and Squad drill performance evaluations he volunteered to go first to show the squad that leaders lead from the front which made it easier for the rest of the squad. He excelled at communicating with individuals and small groups presenting them with a clear and logical solution to any problem they faced. He also inspired peers to perform to the fullest potential; his knowledge in land navigation resulted in him receiving a first time go for the land navigation
