The Irish people who immigrated to the United State of America would donate, but the British would not give the donations to the Irish they would just keep it. The fungus is worse than ever and all the potatoes turn black and slimy. Now the people cannot eat nor afford to buy wheat or oats. The problem still has not been fixed and instead getting worse. Families are being separated, lots of people turn to crime and lots died. The climax of the story is when the Irish people take a stand for themselves and put up a fight towards British officers. The Irish killed lots of officers and British army, but they were put to astop and they could not fight anymore. The resolution of the story happens when the queen of Great Britain comes to Ireland and notices how bad it actually was and she feels bad. She then helps Ireland by giving the donations and building soup kitchens for Irish people. People from the United States also donated food to help them. Then when the fungus went away Ireland became normal
