HANLON demonstrated the test in front of this officer. BARKER raised his left foot off of the ground and began to count out loud until 1005. He then placed his left foot flat on the ground. A P.B.T was administered and a positive reading, for alcohol, was present. Based on BARKER’s performance with S.F.S.T and the supporting factors, I was able to form the opinion that BARKER was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and suspected marijuana to the degree that rendered him unfit to safely drive. BARKER was placed into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence. His handcuffs were checked for tightness and doubled locked to ensure that further locking would not take place. He was then placed into marked unit 7325 before Reilsono’s was notified to remove his vehicle.
I transported BARKER to Sewickley Valley Hospital for a blood draw and once out at the hospital, I read BARKER his chemical test warnings verbatim from the DL-26. Once finished, he agreed to submit to the blood draw. At 2027 hours, two (2) green top and two (2) gray top tubes of blood were drawn from his right arm following a Betadine prep. The blood was packaged and relinquished to this officer at 2029 hours. The blood was then logged into evidence for crime lab
