It is a code of conduct, an enthralling career requiring intellectual austerity and tenacious enactment, which will not only permit me to connect my enthusiasm for Psychology and English to deliver meritorious service, but also contribute to this ever-changing society. I aspire to pursue a career in Law, due to my burning passion and desire to provide meticulous service and positively impact the world. There are over 15,000 Barristers in the UK, and I hope to be a part of this statistic. A Barrister is an educator and inspiring role model; hence, as someone with a desire and interest to not only teach and inspire others, but learn new things every day, I am certain this will be the right profession for me. …show more content…
To extend my interest and subsequently authenticate an informed decision, I effectively completed two instructive online courses: ‘Law for Non-Lawyers’, and ‘Crime, Justice and Society’, which offered a profound insight into this industry. Likewise, reading ‘What About Law? Studying Law at University’ further accumulated my desire to study Law whilst supplementing my knowledge previously gathered from extensive personal research. Additionally, I was able to gain an insight and understanding of the realities of this arduous career.
Studying A-Level English has reinforced my love for reading and creative writing, whilst Biology has considerably enriched my problem-solving and analytical skills. Furthermore, Psychology has enhanced my critical thinking and ability to question and evaluate situations; hence I find the psychological elements of Law eminently compelling. These skills combined will be my forte, and award me success in this ambitious

While interviewing Dylan McKinnon, a second year law student at the University of Iowa, I gained knowledge about the subject field and domain of law school and how it prepares students to emerge into the law field after graduation. I found Dylan during his office hours in the Pappajohn Business Building on the third floor on Friday afternoon. His office was poorly decorated with the only item on his desk being a laptop. The room seemed much too big for the minimal space that he was using but the artlessness mimicked his simple, but insightful answers to the interview questions. The room was grey and most likely could not be changed, a rule of the business college.…
