I would have to admit the “time” commitment is one of the biggest barriers in my role of Evidence Based Practice (EBP) especially now that I am in school. Although we are exposed to EBP throughout our courses in different ways, when it comes to work I have little time to engage. I always enjoyed the challenges to reviewing and introducing protocol and policy changes within my organization. However, within the recent years either from the “burnout” syndrome or leadership within the organization. I lost the desire to participate feeling I was wasting my time that could be spent more productive. As I read the article and this course, my desire has been sparked again.
