Barriers To Becoming A President

The road to becoming president in the United States is filled with many barriers to insure we are left with the most fitting candidate. Even though this doesn’t always happen, our election system is still effective in helping our country pick our president. There are requirements that must be passed before deciding to run for president. The requirements include being 35 years of age, being a resident of the United States for at least 14 years, and being naturally born citizen in the U.S. After passing these requirements you must fill out two forms which are the FEC Form 1 and FEC Form 2. Those aren’t the only parts of a campaign team but they are the main parts. It is also their job to keep up with current trends in a social and political sense. They want their candidate to be up to date with the way they interact with every age group and do things to seem relatable to different ages. The democratic party tends to make more of an effort to keep up with social issues. For instance, gay marriage was passed, marijuana was legalized in some states and trans bathrooms were created all under one democratic president. Most of this is used to appeal to a certain group of people. Mostly democrats and specifically young ones. Once you get a good following of people who agree with your viewpoints you must then win over the most delegates at the national convention by campaigning in state’s primary elections and conventions.
