After reading the story (flowers for Algernon) knowledge does not seem to make a person happier,kinder and better. The reason why it doesn't make a person happier because for example, Charlie was upset after getting smart because everyone was scared of him. “Dr.Nemur appears to be uncomfortable around me. Next, having knowledge doesn't make a person kinder because for example, Charlie kept telling people to leave him alone and he just seemed more angry after the operation than before the operation.
