On the day of September 17, 1730, Baron von Steuben as born. Baron von Steuben, well known as the son of a military engineer.. He arrived at Fort Valley on February 23, 1778. Steuben met Washington at Fort Valley. Steuben and Washington then had a meeting with Frederick . Then Washington sent Steuben from Portsmouth, to Boston. Then they sent him to York. Well that impressed Washington so much that he wanted Steuben to be the assitance for the american cause. While Steuben was away he sent washington a letter, saying that there is only one thing he will do and that is run for his country. Steuben then had a meeting and come to find out he did not make it. But they still gave him a option to be an assistant for the american cause. They let
