Barnesfield Park Research Paper

Barnesfield park is one of the few parks close to the military bases in the northern Virginian area. The park's large size attracts many visitors of both local civilians and military personnel making this an ideal place for me to take my family. The park is located through a small opening in-between forest trees, down a narrow road. It almost invisible to people unaware of its exact location and despite being hard to locate it is always active with people throughout the day. Early in the morning people first make their way to Barnesfield park. The forest scenery make a beautiful place to exercise and provides an escape from the usual roads that people have to share room with vehicles. Families come out to watch their children play sports whether it is soccer or baseball. The parking is unfortunately limited and many have to park far away. Several baseball games take place at the same time. Many are young children and others are teenagers that are competing. As soon as one game is over another team is already occupying the same field. The parents do not have much time to leave the bleachers since the next team's parents begin to occupy them. The parents cheer on their children's teams, many of the parents socialize together since they have begun to know each other. At the soccer field many parents set up blankets on the ground to stay warm as they cheer on their children. It is very cold but the excitement of watching their children play makes them unaware of how cold it is. After a few hours all of the games have played and both the children and their parents are very tired. They slowly make their way to the cars. They pack up their sports gear and drive away, finally leaving the park void of anyone. Barnesfield park is an great place for many people to visit. I see many people there throughout whether I taking my children for a quick visit to play at the playground or for one of my kids to compete in a soccer game. The park is a beautiful place to visit, and is very secluded from the rest of the area with nature still intact in regards to the forest surrounding
