Obesity is a critical public health issue today, and poses the most, significant threat to the health of our younger generations. Surgery has been seen as the most and perhaps only, effective means of long-term weight loss. Adolescent bariatric surgery (ABS) is a relatively new subspecialty, and it is not without controversy.
