Bareminerals and Snapchat: In my opinion Bareminerals excels in using snapchat in their social media marketing strategy. Although Bareminerals is used by women of all ages, Bareminerals wanted to target teens with an acne problem which is a growing audience for them. They gave instructions on how to hide a blemish from an expert. Their goal was not only to drive sales, but to click on the tutorial to drive traffic. Their smart and sassy campaign ”zit happens” is successful for many reasons. The use of a short, but catchy phrase, using snapchat whose target audience is 18-24 year olds to target teen and young woman’s audience, but also having a tutorial creating a teaching moment and not a hard pressure sales moment.
