My dream is work with people with great ideas and let their ideas to change the world. My dream exactly matches with Barclays’ purpose. Driving by this value, I invested Xinlong City Real Estate Program at Futai Real Estate Co., Ltd. Secondly, Barclays puts its clients and customers at the center, which also fits my value. For example, when I was in China, I got a summer internship in the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China. As a Financial Manager Assistant, I mainly engaged in selling wealth management products. During my time there, I was curious about why some professional salespersons performed worse than some non-professionals. After several weeks’ investigation, I found that a large percentage of people who bought wealth management products did not have any background knowledge about finance. So if a salesperson gave some technical information that the consumer didn’t understand, the customer wouldn’t buy the product. However, a salesman who could clearly explain how the product would benefit the client usually was more successful in making sales. So I think as a salesperson, I should take my time to understand customers’ needs and always try to surpass their expectations. After learning that, I changed my selling style and became one of the five best salespersons in the bank. Even though I was a new trainee, for about two weeks I independently led a team to sell financial products by using this strategy.
