Sterling Rector, Briar Bodemann, and Takira Blick as well as five other Barber County 4-Hers all went to Citizenship in Action (CIA) in Topeka, Kansas on February 19th-20th with the help of chaperones Robin Eubanks and Patricia Cargill. The event started with ice breakers where they met new people from other 4-H clubs. Then after the ice breakers they ate dinner with their representative, Kyle Hoffman. After supper they all went to the capitol on the house floor and debated on three bills to make secondary education free, increase the driving age, and if parents should pay for extra circular activities. Nothing passed but an amendment to decrease the driving age. Once everyone got back from the capitol there was a choice between watching
