As if one term wasn’t enough for his reseeding hairline and grayish hair, Barack Obama was once again reelected as President of the United States. After what seemed like a very close election, President Obama knocked out the Republican Nominee, Mitt Romney, out of the polls to claim the seat as the First African American President to win a second term. It was January 21, 2013, the 150th Anniversary of Abraham Lincolns Emancipation Proclamation, and President Obama was prepared to give his inaugural address as the 44th President of the United States just outside the United States Capitol. President Obama walked up to the podium and cheerfully acknowledged the thousands of people who were anxiously waiting for hours just to hear his second inauguration speech. On that podium, President Obama portrayed a very authoritative demeanor that demonstrated much confidence and the speech that soon followed was nothing short of what was expected from a Harvard Law School Graduate. President Obama delivered a very motivating speech that filled the hearts with millions of Americans with hope, a hope for a better four years. During his speech, Obama displayed many important public speaking tactics that kept his audience engaged. To begin with, President Obama was absolutely immaculate with the way he used his gestures. If you watch the speech, President Obama took advantage of empowering words such as “together” and “freedom” and use hand gestures to emphasize its meaning. Words like…
