In the summer of 2012, Barack Obama and Mitt Romney were nominated for the United States presidential election of 2012. Mitt Romney, an American politician and business, who also is part of the Republican Party, accepted his nomination for the United States presidential election of 2012. As for Barack Obama, part of the Democratic Party and first American president, accepted his nomination for the United States presidential election of 2012 for his second term. Both Romney and Obama mention important issues in their speeches but from opposing points of view. One of the issues they both mention to address and president their main argument was military expense. American people were really concern about the safety and project of the Nation. Although the military helps the country stay safe by protecting against foreign threats, it puts a strain on the troops. Nearly 400,000 to 600,000 soldiers are in active duty and approximately 224,000 to 329,000 soldiers have died within the past three war the country has been. Not just does it project the U.S. or puts a strain on its solders it is the nation biggest spending budget. According to the article “Federal Spending: Where Does the Money Go” by the National Priorities Project, the president’s modelled discretionary spending on military expense is going to be approximately % of the national budget by 2015. In 2015 military expense would become the most spending budget the Nation had spent on the defense. Studies in the article “Iraq War Cost U. S. more than $6 trillion; Study” have estimated that military spending has increase nearly $4 trillion and also that expense “ cold grow more to more than $6 trillion over the next four decades”. During 1997 to 2004 he represents the 13th districts in the Illinois senate. Since January 20, 2009, Barack Obama has been the 44th United State President. In 2012, president Obama ran for the United States presidential election of 2012 for his second ter. In his acceptance speech, he asked the American people to choose his future: sets of “goals in manufacturing, energy, education, national security and the deficit” (2) and plans that would “lead to new jobs” (2). He asking them to believe in him because seen he has become the president all he has done was improve the nation. He hasn’t fail on its people and never plan to. But he needs the help from the American people he wants the American people the right to be heard. In first place, he wants to “use the money we’re no longer spending on war to pay down debt and put more people back to work” but still “sustain the strongest military the world has ever know” (4). He wants to work with the main importance issues in this nation whom seemed to be the American people but still have a well safe protected nation.
