Barack Obama earned the Nobel Peace Prize through his efforts while being the Forty-Fourth president. For example Obama was very skilled at “finding common ground with enemies” according to (Norwegian Institute). Many of Obama's accomplishments were done during his presidency. Having 8 years in the seat He was able to accomplish much. Obama was seen as a “world healer… an antidote to George H W Bush” (Barack Obama 2011). Being the first African American president he gave a voice to a previously silenced group. He also appealed to the younger audience of voters and had one of the highest turnouts of young voters in his first term. During Obama's early life he went to a “prestigious high school” and “law school at Harvard” (Barack Obama 2004).
