Here, Lady Macbeth tries to persuade her husband into killing King Duncan. Even Macbeth’s wife is too afraid that Macbeth will not take initiative to make the witches’ words come true. This shows that he is too timid at times and is not much of a risk taker. In order for Lady Macbeth to get what she wants, she emasculates him. Lady Macbeth tells her husband that she would kill her child for such power in which she would “have pluck’d my nipple from his boneless gums, and dash’d the brains out”.(1.7.63-64) After eventually giving into his wife, Macbeth conjures up the courage and murders King Duncan in his sleep.
