It all began with the earliest humans drawing on walls. As we evolved, these pictures soon became words written upon dried wood pulp. Since the beginning of written language, writing and literature has made a ginormous impact on human life. It has helped us share ideas and beliefs, and overall improve and evolve as the human race. For thousands of years, humans have shared their thoughts, beliefs, and ideas on pages bounded together to form what we call a book. In recent years, however, there has been large discussion about the banning of books. Not only would this harm America's education system, it would also cause unnecessary conflict. In fact, according to the First Ammendment, our protected right of freedom of speech is being taken away if this becomes a large issue. Simply put, censorship is unconstitutuional. He tells of a world where books are banned, writing is banned, and overall creativety is banned. The lack of freedom in this society leads to many of the characters rebelling in their own ways. This conflict and rebellion could have all been avoided if they were allowed their right of freedom of speech. The banning of books is an unnefective way of trying to keep adolescents hidden from the dangers and cultural inbalances of the real world. A plethora of argumentative essays and fictional books have proven that the banning of creativety and the right to freedom of speech leads to conflict.
