Banning Smoking in Public places Secondhand smoke is the third leading cause of preventive death in the United States. For every eight smokers that are smoking kills they take one non-smoker with them.-Adrienne Herron. Every year there is an estimated of the amount of people who die from the exposure from secondhand smoke or just from smoking in general there are over 443,000 related deaths in the United States. Anyone who smokes most likely will never give it a second thought on how much it affects people within their surroundings. But when it comes to smoking around other people including your children isn 't very possible that by Smoking around people in public or even within your own house that it can be having an effect around your everyday health? Including your child’s and family’s. That smoking in public is causing the health risk that we try to avoid as much as possible? Do people not know that this causes the preventable health risk like Lung Cancer? Or is it that we know these facts and choose not to listen because of our own wants and needs?
There are many medical studies that have shown and proven that a large of these deaths take place from Lung Cancer which of course is caused by smoking. What happens is that the Cilla which is in the lungs and it gets damaged and pretty much destroys the cilia. And the cilia is what protects are lungs from all the dust and dirt in the air that we breathe in. Once that is destroyed then are lungs are just keeping all that…
