Banning firearms reduces crime rate, gun trafficking, and the amount of lives lost to firearms. The amount of deaths by firearms became outrageous. 34,000 people get killed every year by firearms. Firearms brutally murder 13 children a day. Growing up in the United States gives someone a 12 times more likely chance to be murdered by a gun than kids from all other more developed nations combined (Join Together 1). There are more clubs for guns than McDonald’s in the United States (Han 2). In 2010, accidental shootings killed 606 civilians, including 62 children under the age of 15. Other countries already took action and banned firearms. Since banning the weapons, their murder rates have drastically decreased. These terrible murders will not stop until America decides to make a change in the gun laws.

His son Jesse was murdered in the Sandy Hook massacre. Many activists shouted out “Second Amendment!” while he was trying to testify (Bennet 4)
These families who have lost their children are fighting for firearms to be banned and rightfully so. Gun violence needs to end as soon as possible. There is only one way to end all of the pain happening from firearms and that is banning them. Once they are banned, the crime rate will decrease, gun trafficking will be nothing and innocent lives will be saved. But most importantly justice is served to the people that lost their lives due to violent gun
