When a couple of families went to Hartford for the state legislative hearing around late January 2013, gun rights proponents caught attention by interrupting Neil Heslin. His son Jesse was murdered in the Sandy Hook massacre. Many activists shouted out “Second Amendment!” while he was trying to testify (Bennet 4)
These families who have lost their children are fighting for firearms to be banned and rightfully so. Gun violence needs to end as soon as possible. There is only one way to end all of the pain happening from firearms and that is banning them. Once they are banned, the crime rate will decrease, gun trafficking will be nothing and innocent lives will be saved. But most importantly justice is served to the people that lost their lives due to violent gun
