Banksy is a pseudonym of a “guerrilla” a street artist known for his controversial and provocative and politically themed stencilled art works. Banksy was a street artist that kept his naming anonymous. He was seemingly born in Bristol England in 1974. He provocative stencilled art pieces were finished in the late 1990’s. His artworks examine his relationship among commercial and street art. One of his quotes was “We can’t do anything to change the world until capitalism crumbles. In the meantime we should all go shopping to console ourselves.” Banksy began is artist career as a graffiti artist in the 1990’s in the Bristol’s graffiti gang DryBreadZ crew.
