Captain Winters is a highly motivated officer built more for war than paperwork. Winters is not necessarily confident all the time. He doesn’t like paperwork, handing Easy Company over to someone else, or enduring casualties. However, he is able to fight through all of this to lead every team he is in charge of to success. From ambushing Germans, to enjoying down time only to take on casualties and prepare for another assault, a large spectrum of World War 2 is captured in just under an hour. Captain Winters is faced with the challenge of mobilizing and motivating his men immediately after taking on a casualty before everyone goes to bed. Before the casualty came in everyone was getting ready for down time/bed, but after the significant shift in their situation the attitude of the entire company changes. Easy Company is also challenged when they realize they could be out flanked at any moment in the morning and that in order to just survive, they need to attack the Germans.
