How to Bake Banana Blueberry Bread in a Shippable Jar When baking banana bread you must have the main ingredient prepared ahead of time. You must freeze over-ripened bananas. The recipe calls for three-four so that is the amount I froze. This process of freezing at least three to four ripe bananas is crucial because if you fail to follow through with this first step, you cannot bake the bread. Next in preparation for making this delicious bread was to buy the jars. I purchased nine 16 ounce, purple jars. However, the purple was in fact an accident.
