As far as making a statement to the public in regards to the ban and stating that I agree that the environment in the city will be less cluttered and it can be understood why the decision was made to ban advertisements, inform the media that you will be effected by the decision but the company will take this change as an opportunity not a threat. A note to the arrested employees would go something like, It has become aware by management and the general public that you were arrested along with four other employees in regards to “disturbing the peace”. Management does understand that your reaction to the banning may have been out of frusteration and worry about your job security. We all have been impacted by this and are taking steps to avoid the entire company from falling. In regards to the arrest we will post bail for you / compensate you if you have already have. Although your actions were extreme please have faith in your employer to handle the situation, we will work as a team as it is far more effective than fighting on an individual level,
