Bammel Health System Bammel Health Systems is a premier provider of public health care with in the greater metropolitan Detroit area, serving over a million residents of Wayne County. As a public entity, the Bammel Health System provides health care to any and all regardless of insurance coverage. However, in the past few years, the rising cost of business has made a large impact on the Bammel Health System. Revenue cannot keep up with the increasing costs of expenses. To tackle this ongoing issue, the Public Health Trust, which governs this accredited, tax-assisted, tertiary teaching facility, will examination of certain programs to determine their viability to meet the financial goals set forth by this well established and stellar institution. To help meet the financial responsibilities, we will concentrate on reducing expenses and improve revenue. Expenses have steadily increased over the last few years to the point of 116 million dollar deficit for this fiscal year. If drastic measures are not taken to reduce our spending, we will be facing a financial crisis that impact our customers, employees, patients and the community. This panel has determined the most viable solution is to relinquish control and fiscal support of the four corrections care facility. To start, the transfer will cover two facilities to start, followed by the remaining two facilities.
