One thing that was said in the discussions that stood out is that life is a balance of conformity and originality. For example, in school we have rules and guidelines that we have to follow when we have a project for a class, but we also have chances in which we can contribute our own ideas and opinions to make it our own. There is also laws in society that we have follow to avoid getting a punishment.
