It was clear she was trouble her mind thinking of the many things and the many days of her life as a child. The things that caused her to feel so broken in the first place and the reason she started to drink as a hobby. It was something to make her feel better in the short term of things. It was found while an organization called The Aiken Project was cleaning out his safety deposit box, with the permission of his children, in order to create an exhibit in the Savannah College of Art and Design Library. Aiken is one of Savannah’s well-known poets of the 20th century, and because of this The Aiken Project, created in his honor, wants to create an exhibit to showcase his greatest short stories and poems. While researching for this exhibit it was discovered that Aiken owned a safe deposit box that has remained relatively untouched by his children, with whom he left the key, until 1990 when…

Whether it is used as a method of passing down culture among civilizations or as a way to put a child to sleep, stories have their enchanting properties which affect the psychological mind. As infants develop throughout orality, anality, and genitality, scary stories allow boys and girls to become aware of the human condition, their social relations, and ways to seek assurance for their existence. Bettelheim approves the telling of scary stories to children as they enable them to overcome personal difficulties and identify with another character facing similar hardships.…

"The Crimson Candle" fits the explanatory meaning of a fable, a short story with an underlining moral. In the fable the spouse searches out a diminishing guarantee from his dearest and steadfast wife. Being a loyal wife she gives her word that she will not remarry until she fulfills his dying wish.
