In center city, England 1867, the week before christmas. Fog settles and church bells ring. People walk the streets, greeting with a, “Merry christmas to you.” as people buy bores and toys and trinkets for their family and children. The spirit of the season is in the air. Not a shred of, “Bah-Humbug”. Now go forward a few years and you find people speeding down the highway rushing to the next Wal-mart in town, trying to buy that new video game, or the new tablet he wanted. Parents find it dreadful, UPS, Fedex delivering all through the night to get those toys there to the houses. People want to say it, not to offend but, “Bah-Humbug”. Christmas today is not what it used be, it’s about family, friends, and kindness, not just about presents. Christmas in Victorian Britain was better than Today because they thought more about family and charity and cherished the time with traditions that were held.
