Its not gonna happen immediately of course, but over time, when the younger and younger generations that soon lead this planet ask who ruined the world, they will know exactly who to blame. We are using enormous amount of plastic daily. In fact, we feel that plastic is surrounding us. It becomes indispensable for us (Madren 1). Because it is durable and indestructible and has a low density, it starts to accumulate in huge amounts in our oceans, and moves for hundreds of miles away from the original site of pollution and concentrates in five known ocean gyres (Sun). The situation is really very serious now, because thousands of tons of plastics are polluting our oceans and environment, endangering the whole marine life and ecosystems as well as our own heath Plastics exert its harmful and toxic effect on the marine wildlife as a result of ingesting the plastics, also from leaching of plastic toxins, and from getting entangled in…

The Surfrider Foundation creatively exemplifies what human pollution and carelessness is resulting in such as creating compelling ads like “Fossil, Bag”. Trash islands, which is a result from human pollution, clutters the oceans as well as contaminates marine biology with plastic and plastic components. Unfortunately, humans will continue to contribute to the trash islands and the marine life epidemic by throwing their plastic products out the window and onto the ground as they live their irresponsible lives. The vicious cycle of human carelessness is resulting into the consumption of their very own trash: plastic bags and plastic products. The more that plastic is produced and dumped into the ocean, the more prevalent plastic really is within human daily life, as well as inside…

An overwhelming number of arguments accumulate when the issue at hand deals with money and the environment. In support the primary argument is the fact that this measure would result in money directed toward conservation efforts. Funds that grocery stores are able to spend at their own discretion. Considering the amount of change bag policies has undergone in recent years, many stores are able to use this revenue stream without fear of consequences.…

Kraft Lawrence once stated, “I believe they say good deeds done here on Earth will store up wealth in heaven, do they not?” Money allows the world to operate and with the lack of wealth, many would find it exceedingly difficult to live a happy and meaningful life. Though even with wealth, some people have many troubles preventing them from living life to the fullest. Prosperity however, is not ubiquitous and universal to all. Some people can only receive a meager income working at a minimum wage job while others persevere through college to acquire the skills and work at a generally higher paying profession.…

Plastic bags make it so much easier to carry our groceries as compared to paper bags. Plastic wrappers do not stick to the food product and can be disposed of without taking up much. Utensils made of plastics make cleaning up easier, because they can just be thrown away. All of these luxuries have come from the invention of using plastics to make disposables, but such disposable items are not disposable in the sense that they are hard to break down. Thus, the “luxuries” actually made me realize the dangers of overusing plastics, leading me to look into the environment and how humans are harming the environment outside of plastic…

It’s tax season again, which seems an even colder season than winter for many of us. Physicians, especially, can feel a chill in the air this time of year as they attempt in vain to get ready for April 15th. Between taking care of their patients and trying to stay compliant with so many initiatives, many doctors have little time to actually learn the basics of the tax codes that apply to them, and so they wind up getting involved in questionable investments and “tax shelters” to, in the end, save very little.…
