Introduction:
Technology has negative effect on people because the workers were not protected at all in the factories. Also with the population rapidly growing people needed somewhere to stay and the rent was so high they had a bunch of people in a small bedroom. Now that people are stressing about work they are beginning to go to the pubs more and alcoholism began . The industrial revolution has mostly negative effects because of the bad working conditions, low wages for working long hours, and child abuse in the factories.

Bad working conditions during the industrial revolution negatively impacted society. The workers were not protected when they were working in the factory with dangerous machines. Suddenly they would be fired for no reason at all . People would work for a very long time like 11 to 16 hour day. Also almost every person in the house would have to have a job to support their families because the amount they were paied was so low. Some people couldn’t afford housing because apartments were rising their rent and they got almost nothing. Then along with the long hours of work children would be sleepy and they would whip children if they weren’t doing their job.

Child abuse in the factories is another example of an negative impact on the industrial revolution. If children weren’t doing their job when a manager would come around they would get whipped. They also didn’t have the clothing to work at any of the factories. Children had to work long hours and would only get one break for lunch and that was it no more breaks during the day.This is why children shouldn’t have worked in factories when they were so young
