The three type or drivers are the safe drivers, the moderately safe drivers, and the dreaded and completely unsafe drivers. People like to think that they are good drivers but the truth is that there are way more people who are unsafe than there are safe. It is a proven fact based off of National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that men are more likely to be involved in a fatal car crash than women. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports also show that California, Texas, and Florida are the states with the most reported accidents. For example those who are driving while eating or drinking. They might be trying to grab some French fries which can result in them removing their eyes from the road, or even driving into oncoming traffic. They could be concentrating on trying to drink or eat. Maybe they are even fiddling around with utensils, napkins, or containers, therefore not being fully focused on the road and where he or she is driving. Another distraction which happens to everyone is the scenery. Looking at trees, houses, decorations during the holidays, and signs. Those are huge distractions that no one notices while they are driving until their car is inches away from a disaster. Most of the time these bad little habits are corrected just in time but can result in horrible accidents if they are not caught right away. Cell phone are a huge culprit of over half of the accidents that happen in the recent years with the texting and calling. People who are on their phone and not focused on the road are the main reason people get injured most often than not. You can find accidents in the news around the world that are caused by someone who was either talking on their phone, texting, or even browsing the internet while they were driving to their job, a store, or to a friend’s house. Example of a quick distraction could be as simple as a person glancing up into their rear view mirror. The car in front of them could slam on their brakes for a cat running across the road, a deer, or even a kid running to grab a ball that has wandered into the street by accident, while looking into their rear view mirror they missed the car in front of them slamming on their brakes and now they have just collided into the back of that car.
