A good body paragraph should have four components. These four components include a transition, a topic sentence, some evidence and analysis, and a brief wrap-up. The transition will start off the next paragraph to provide a smooth change to the idea. Following the transition is the topic sentence that will introduce the subject of discussion in the rest of the paragraph. After the topic sentence comes the body of the paragraph. My first body paragraph of my critical analysis had a good transition, topic sentence, and evidence and analysis. Although I had three of the four components, the absence of the brief wrap-up made my paragraph hard to transition from. I wrote, “First, the benefits of working at a prestigious company seemed to outweigh the negative effects in the beginning. The most rewarding feature of this level of work was the promise of a wealthy and successful future to the young people.” This is a good transition and topic sentence and I give good evidence afterward; however, I ended this paragraph with a quote in regards to evidence. I just told the reasoning, but I did not show how this reasoning was
