After many years of writing of poetry I could not get anyone to publish my work. Life was hard with my first children passing away from devastating diseases. After being fed up with my life in Delaware on our farm I was in dire need of change, so I packed up and moved to England. When I moved to England in 1912, I finally got, my first and second book published; “A Boys Will” and “North of Boston”. Critics fell in love with my work and when I moved back the States, I was more than surprised at the amount of people that actually knew me because of my
