Visualise a classroom with shouting kids, running from front to back of the room and objects throwing across the room. Yes, totally chaos, even a slight cross talk of a student or the use of a cell phone in the mid of a class session is a form of bad behaviour. With the bad behaviour in class it can be difficult not only for the disruptive student to focus, but also for the instructors and other students due to the distraction. The continuation of bad behaviour can cause conflicts among students where the disruptive student come across at times as a nuisance to other students. It is one thing when conflicts derive verbally but is extreme when it became physical. Students do get annoyed and as a result of being frustrated become aggressive. Hence, confrontation tends to occur with students getting injured and possibly the end result being fatal. In most cases some of these immature, irritating, or thoughtless behaviours doesn’t just suddenly happen but are ones that usually manifest over time. However, a child bad behaviour can happen outside the conscious control of the child due to a medical condition. Also, medical condition such as; attention deficit disorder, dyslexia and autism can impair children in functioning normally in the classroom or in a social setting. Research by Royal College of Psychiatrists (2014) stated, “Children with a conduct disorder may get involved in more violent physical fights and may steal or lie, without any sign of remorse or guilt when they are found out. They refuse to follow rules and may start to break the law.” Can you imagine a child having such condition dealing with all their school life?
