Why are we always being told to listen to our parents? Don’t they make mistakes just like we do? The answer to that is yes, just like everybody else they make mistakes. But there our parents so we must respect them. In this essay, I’m going to be talking about one bad advice that I received from my parents. I am currently a junior in High School and I attend CSNHS. Before by junior year I went to school at Cheyenne HS. My friends at the time told me about the program that CSN offers and I was thinking about considering it. After I had told my parents about the program they gave me an advice to not to go to that program. I have three main points about this advice that they gave me, the first is how it made me feel, the second is what I did, and the third point is what I learned from this advice. …show more content…
But before I explain how this made me feel let me first explain why they didn’t want me to go to the program. They thought that I could handle being in High School and in college at the same time, they thought it was too much on my plate and they were worried that they couldn’t keep up with me in college because there is no infinite campus for college. And with that being said, the fact that they didn’t think I could succeed in the program made me feel more determined into getting in the program so I can prove them wrong.
