The Volunteer Coordinator for Pikes Peak Therapeutic Riding Center is Michael Mersman. He joined the staff a little over a year ago with little experience and knowledge about horses and the therapies offered, yet he is well informed about the horses, the therapies offered, and populations that are served. Michael presented the information about the organization by showing a video, presenting the functions and the therapies offered through PowerPoint, and sharing successful therapeutic stories. The stories were genuine and provided several viewpoints to see the effectiveness of the organization. Michael presented well, the only area I would like to have known more about is, the history behind the organization and therapeutic techniques.…

At the first glance at this issue – Whether the bicyclists should obey the driving laws as the drivers do in San Francisco –, it pops into my mind that the bicyclists are not necessary to follow the rules which for the drivers. On the other hand, the bicyclist should have their own rules to avoid the traffic jams. The core reason why I have such perspective is that the authority cannot judge the drivers and bicyclists at the equivalent situation because they have different purposes and functions. First of all, unlike the vehicles or buses, the size of bicycles is smaller. As a result, the bicycles do not occupy as much space on the roadway as the cars do.…

Dirtbikes Are Good For Your Health Throughout my years of riding and racing dirtbikes throughout the great throughout the United states as sweat is pouring from every inch of my body with muscles so fatigued that there seems to be a disconnect from my mind. If it is so easy then why is there no overweight professional rider? We ignore the scientific studies that now dictate the training regimen has been utilized in other major sports like NFL.…
Pay riding and free riding are terms that are used when talking about the coalitions that are created to fight against terrorism (Fratianni et al., 2004). To put these terms into context, free riding refers to those countries that benefit from the efforts of the United States fighting against terrorism, but do nothing or very little to help the cause resulting in the United States having to carry most of the burden during the fight (Fratianni et al., 2004). Pay riding is more complex because it refers to those countries that are on both sides against the fight on terrorism (Fratianni et al., 2004). These countries help the cause of the United States against terrorism usually for political relations and the help is almost always in the form of funding with large amounts of money (Fratianni et al., 2004). At the same time most of these countries are corrupted and they also contribute to terrorist organizations usually in exchange to keep peace within their countries, Saudi Arabia is a great example of a country that falls under pay riding (Fratianni et al., 2004).…
The human body and more specifically visual cues and the vestibular system allows us to determine when we are upright, sideways or in a turn. However, when visual references are gone the mind will tend to make up a false sense of which way is straight and level by relying mainly on the vestibular system. These false orientations created by an illusion have been deadly for many pilots, especially for those without any instrument training. Yet having an instrument rating is also not the answer as every human can become disoriented and lose control if they do not believe in their instruments. For these reasons spatial disorientation is the cause of many preventable accidents that lead to a loss of control and become classified as controlled flight…
