Titian lived an odd and unordinary life. This shaped his background, and made him the painter he was destined to become. He came from a religious home, attending an Italian Catholic church with his family. He was without a father figure so he had to be the man of the house. He had a brother by the name of Vecellio, who was also a painter during the time. “His family was poor so titian would have to use fruit extracts to paint with instead of acrylics”(Titian Art Timeline). Due to his family’s lack of financial stability, he had to adapt to his surroundings. This caused him to have to find unconventional ways to paint. Titian began an apprenticeship at a young age which helped shape the rest of his life.
