Back Injuries: A Case Study

DOI: 09/21/2012. This is a 46-year-old male order picker who sustained a back injury after picking up one-gallon boxes. Patient is diagnosed with thoracic disc herniation. MRI of the thoracic spine dated 3/16/16 (no official result) revealed right sided protrusions at T5 to T6 and T6 to T7. As per office visit note dated 03/24/2016, physical examination reveals generalized tenderness and spasm through the mid thoracic and thoracolumbar region with guarding of mobility. As per office notes dated 5/12/16, the patient complains of persistent moderate to severe burning back pain located in the right thoracic area. The symptoms are aggravated by exertion. The symptoms are relieved by rest. The back pain is described as mild to moderate. He continues
