In the Bible, the story Baby Moses is about an Israelite mother who loved her son very much but had to hide him because Pharaoh, ruler of Egypt, was scared that the Israelites would take over his kingdom. In order to make sure this didn’t happen, he wanted to kill every baby boy that was born to the Israelites. Once the mother’s son got too big to hide, she made a basket and put her son in it. Then she put the basket in the Nile river. The baby’s older sister kept an eye on the basket and watched it go down the river. The basket floated right up to Pharaoh’s daughter.
