Baby Heart Doctor Research Paper

When asked what idea or concept captivates me I instantly go medical. As long as I could possibly remember, I’ve always had a love for all things medical. From as young as the age of seven I knew I wanted to be a Pediatric Cardiologist, though at the time I used to call it a “baby heart doctor”. Unlike normal little girls playing with Barbie’s or teddy bears, I was running around the house with my dollar store stethoscope trying to find anything with a heartbeat. When my sister was born, she was born with a major hole in her heart, undergoing extensive surgeries to repair her heart. When my sister was old enough to understand it all she told my mom she wanted to be a “baby heart doctor”, where is which I receive my passion. Before I was born

II. Fetal Heartbeat Standard One of the major changes the ACA attempts to make is the establishment of a new fetal heartbeat standard. Applying this standard would significantly reduce the amount of time needed in a pregnancy for the government to consider the fetus a compelling state interest. The plaintiff, Planned Parenthood of Texarkana, will immediately refer to the precedent set by Roe v. Wade as their strongest argument. In Roe, the Court deemed abortion a constitutional right implied in the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment.…

My experiences, academic background and personality are three key aspects of my life that make the medical field a preference and a particularly suitable field for me. My interest in medicine was first sparked when I volunteered at CentraState Medical Center working with geriatric patients. To further explore this interest, I joined the First Aid Squad in my town. Riding on ambulances and volunteering at the squad provided much-needed insight into the field and taught me valuable skills, such as patient care and effective communication. After completing a four-month intensive EMT course and state exam, I can proudly say that I am now a New Jersey certified EMT.…

I expanded this interest by volunteering at a hospital and attending various health academies. In the summer of junior year, I attended the Health Leaders Summer Academy held at UCF where I learned of the integral role science plays in our bodies, on earth, and in life beyond earth. The same summer I volunteered at Florida Hospital and I am currently volunteering at Orlando Regional Medical Center. While volunteering at Florida Hospital, I truly saw the unpredictability of life when I encountered a man having a heart attack on the stairwell. Like the weather, I never know what will happen from one moment to the next.…

The study of medicine has evolved over thousands of years from something of an enigma governed by religious spheres to the highly specialized science of preventing, treating, and curing diseases of the human body. While my interest in becoming a physician did begin with a love of natural sciences, it has, like the study of medicine, evolved into something much larger than topics covered in my general biology courses. I want to work with people on managing their conditions, learn from doctors before me as well as patients, and be a positive influence despite often-negative diagnoses. Individuals all have different reasons for wanting to attend medical school, but I believe that we are either called to practice medicine or we are not. I am drawn…
