The Millennials are also known as “generation y”. Millennials were sheltered as children by their parents, while they made sure everything was planned out for them by providing them with a better lifestyle than what they had in their childhood. As the parents coddled the Millennials, they grew up to be lazier due to everything as a child being done for them. The Millennial generation is known to get everything handed to them with no appreciation, in this case they always want more. Knowing the differences between how the Baby Boomers grew up compared to the Millennials, gives the future leaders of the world a better understanding, so they can improve communication with each generations. If the Millennials run out of money, they just fall back on their families or expect the government to them help out. As for Baby Boomers growing up came quick, they were held accountable for their actions, they did not get help from the government, it was expected to supply everything from the money earned after a long days work. There are cultural differences between the two, caused by differences in actual mental processes (The Boomers 4). A reason to why the Millennials are lazier is the technology in the society today, kids will sit in front of TVs for hours, watching shows or playing video games. Having these kinds of distractions their attention span is a lot shorter, giving kids less motivation to complete their studies. The Baby Boomers grew up with limited technology, hence having less of distractions giving them a longer attention span. Baby Boomers spent their time listening to music, working on studies, and involving their selves with outdoor activities. The Baby Boomer generation has a major impact on all aspects of the American culture, including the workplace and development (The Boomers 1). Baby Boomers lived to work and the Millennials work to live. Millennials work to have money to get nice things, but if their job does not work out for their life style they just leave. While growing up the Baby boomers had stricter rules and
